1-POINT PERSPECTIVE

My artwork is from a photograph I took by the Mississippi River. The subject matter includes a railroad, telephone post, and a tree. I used my pencil and erasers to create this piece. My goal, as an artist, was to make my art look as realistic as possible. To draw my objects in the correct location I used a vanishing point and horizontal line. I also used different values and line quality to add contrast and depth to my art. I am not too happy with this piece, I wish I had spent more time on it. This work will teach me to use a vanishing point in future drawings to draw my object matter in the correct placing.
